Hydrate Well

Hydration is using the first thing I talk about with clients, usually clients are dealing with hydration issues so its the easiest way to kick off our programmes together. But why is water so important?

Water is the basis of all lie, that includes your body. Your muscles that move your body are 75% water. Your blood that transports nutrients is 82% water. Yours lungs that provide oxygen to every cell in the body are 90% water and you Brain that controls everything in the body is 76% water. Even your bones are 25% water.

Our health is truly dependent on the water we drink, so its safe to say if we want to turn our health around its best to start with hydration.

There are fun an easy ways to hydrate your body. My preferred method is to create some home-made vitamin waters.

By adding fresh, organic ingredients like: Mint, Ginger, Orange, Lemon and Cucumber - the ordinary drink becomes a tasty, vitamin rich drink that hydrates and encourages more water consumption for those that struggle to drink more.

As we move into the warmer spring and summer months, it is important to make sure your body homeostatic balance is maintained to keep our immune and cognitive function on top form.

Aim for 1.5-2 litres a day and work your way up in accordance to temperature and physical exertion. The more you move and the hotter you get, the more water your body with need.

Give it a go an see how you feel!
